WAECO cooking segment: Shauno’s Cheese & Bacon Damper

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 Packet damper mix

200ml water

1 cup mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced bacon

Spray oil

 Method:

  1. Combine damper mix and water, and knead for 5mins until it springs back into dough springs back into shape
  2. Flatten mix on bread board and add cheese and bacon to the centre. Close the damper up around the bacon and cheese
  3. Place damper ball in the middle of an oiled camp oven. Place on small bed of coals with additional coals on the top of the camp oven.
  4. Bake for 20-30mins and serve while warm
