As cars are increasingly used as mobile offices or for leisure time activities, the demands on the interior and the comfort equipment are constantly increasing. Three exceptional solutions to suit the individual demands of car drivers are the latest results of the successful think tank. For example, the new double cupholder for the centre console that cools and heats as well. The unit is powered by the vehicle's electric system and covers a temperature range from 5ºC (cooling mode) or 65ºC (heating mode). Reliable temperature control is guaranteed at all times, even with differing container shapes. At the core of the system is a non-wearing Peltier element which works superbly silently at a noise emission of less than 35 dB.

The thermoelectric cupholder was offers a variety of useful features, including Active Battery Security, a safe holding mechanism, a blue status indication LED and an effective cold/warm controller. Last but not least, the cupholder can be locked and comes with an easy-to-clean and hygienic surface.

The other two comfort ideas by Dometic, a centre console bottle cooler specially designed for the VW T5 and a universal bottle cooler for the door trim, are based on a similar operting principle. Both systems feature a Peltier element for cooling, but they don't have the heating option. Instead, the provide room for up to 1.5-litre bottles and a cooling capacity up to 20º below the ambient temperature. These systems, too, feature non-wearing technology, a safe cup holder mechanism as well as a special switch with blue LED status indication. Just like the thermoelectric cupholder they are extremely silent in operation and come with a hygienic, easy-to-clean surface.

These are the latest additions to the well-proven Dometic range that offers bespoke comfort solutions for vehicles of all classes.
