8-Series from now on with straight door
Introduced to the market in 2006, 8-Series refrigerators will be available with straight doors as of 2011. The straight door design is a consistent step in Dometic’s strategy to completely replace the 7-Series.
Bernd Löher, Sales Manager and Authorised Officer for the OEM business, explains: “Customers can now change over to the new generation without having to change the existing design of their vehicles.”

With the 8-Series Dometic has set a new standard for absorption refrigerators in caravans and motorhomes. Highlights of the 8-Series include the patented removable freezer compartment and weight savings of 1.5 kg when compared to the predecessor models of the 7-Series. Large decor surfaces combined with minimal-sized plastic frames make the fridges appear like unique pieces of furniture, creating an ambience that feels like home. The inside of the door was redesigned for enhanced ergonomics and aesthetics. The door shelves are fitted with leakage protection and can be complemented as required. The fridge interior is designed in a refreshing ice-blue, accented by energy-efficient LED lights. A practical detail about the modular freshness system for fruit and vegetables is the salad bin, which opens automatically as you pull out the drawer. Groceries stored inside stay fresh longer than usual, thanks to integrated ventilation slots.
