Tyre pressure monitoring systems – drive safely, save as you drive
On average, a car tyre loses about 0.1 bar air pressure per month. A fact you will have to keep your eye on, it is a hidden danger that many motorists underestimate. It is the reason of 85% of all cases of blow-outs, and that is a risk that could – and should – be avoided! Moreover, even a slight deviation from the correct pressure results in increased tyre wear and fuel consumption. The MagicControl system continuously monitors the air pressure and temperature in all four tyres of the vehicle – even the spare or a fifth or sixth wheel if necessary. The system sensors take a measurement every 3.4 seconds. A sudden drop in the tyre pressure is immediately detected and indicated which gives you enough time to react and avoid an accident.
Are the tyre pressure and temperature ok? The MagicControl system automatically inform the driver of the state of the tyres every time the ignition is switched on and even during the journey. Any deviation from the desired value is indicated immediately – both by a visual and an audible signal. Additional retrofit sensors for the spare tyre and the winter tyres are available as optional extras. The low-priced MTPM100 system, designed for a maximum operating pressure of 5.2 bar, is also suitable for motorhomes and small transporters. Moreover, it offers the option to retrofit a fifth or sixth tyre sensor for double-axle vehicles. The system uses a three-colour LED to inform the driver of the state of the tyres. Any drop in pressure or rise in temperature is immediately indicated by a visual and an audible signal. Supplied with an interior antenna, the MTPM100 is quick and easy to install.
