Today’s high density of road traffic more than ever before requires motorists’ full attention. Even a short, reassuring glance at the speedometer may lead to fatal loss of control – because to do so drivers need to take their view away from the road and drive quite some metres “blind”. These metres may be crucial in critical situations. The WAECO head-up display makes a luxury-class convenience feature available for retrofitting. A glance at the vehicle speedometer takes about one second of your concentration. Say you are doing 100km/h, that means you are driving 28 metres – blind! These metres may be crucial in critical situations. The WAECO Magic Speed HUD head-up display offers a convenient and effective solution to this problem. The current speed is displayed clearly visible on the windscreen – right within the driver’s field of view. Additionally, the system comes with an alarm function that can be activated to warn the driver with an acoustic signal when preset speed limits are exceeded – so there’s no need to worry about speed tickets anymore. After all, experienced drivers often don’t mean to speed, it just happens because they forget to check the speedometer.
At the front passenger’s side: for driving instructors and companions
 During driving lessons or accompanied driving, the head-up display makes it easier for the instructor or companion to monitor the speed.
Novice drivers often don’t have an adequate feel for the right speed. Moreover, they lack road experience, and their reaction in critical situations is not yet fast enough. The head-up display allows driving instructors or driving companions to keep a constant eye on the speed and avoid dangerous situations before they arise. The display and the projection film can be placed wherever is convenient – in our case in the front passenger’s field of view. The head-up display can be fitted in no time at all. It is clearly readable and does not impair the view of the road. All functions are fast and easy to set.

Warns the driver with an acoustic signal when a preset speed limit (e.g. 50 km/h) is exceeded. No need to worry about speed tickets anymore!

A light sensor measures the level of ambient light and dims the display as darkness sets in.
