WAECO CoolFreeze CDF: a new generation of compact compressor coolers
An easy entry into the world of compressor cooling
Improved energy efficiency and a price that is bound to excite the public: refrigeration specialist WAECO makes the entry into the world of comfortable compressor cooling easy for the enthusiasts of mobile leisure activities. Conceived as revised compact models, the CoolFreeze CDF-18 and CoolFreeze CDF-25 coolers consume a modest 35 watts – as little power as a low-wattage light bulb – yet offer reliable refrigeration up to -18°C. Small in size and big in performance they come at a price that is considerably lower than that of their predecessor models.
Due to their optimised insulation the favourably priced compressor coolers help save on energy consumption. Moreover, a new compressor with integrated control electronics cuts running times without compromising on performance.
The WAECO CoolFreeze CDF-18 is a genuine flyweight of just 11.5 kilograms, and convenient to transport with the sturdy carrying handle. A folding grid that can be inserted either vertically or horizontally organises the contents of the cooler, which is tall enough to accommodate 2-litre bottles standing upright.
Its “large sister”, the slim WAECO CoolFreeze CDF-25, neatly slots into narrow gaps and niches where it can be secured in place by a fixing kit. Providing the same technical benefits as the CoolFreeze CDF-18, it has a total capacity of 23 litres, including four litres for fresh food storage.
Both models feature a continuously variable electronic thermostat and a two-stage battery monitor that helps maintain the starting ability of the boat, motorhome or car battery. Moreover, the two compact champions are equally fine for operation with a solar unit. WAECO CoolFreeze CDF-series coolers are TÜV/GS-approved and e-certified.
