| Emsdetten-based WAECO International GmbH has donated 10,000 Euros to support the untiring efforts of „Herzenswünsche“, a German foundation operating on a nationwide scale. WAECO managing partner Ruth Wähning gave founder and President Wera Röttgering the symbolic cheque. The sum had been spontaneously raised at the world’s largest caravanning & leisure fair, the “Caravan Salon” in Dusseldorf. Customers, staff, and the company contributed to the donation. Originally, the trolleys handed out at the WAECO stand had been intended as souvenirs for the company’s customers. Faced with tremendous demand, WAECO’s team at the stand decided to ask a symbolic price of five Euro for each trolley and use the money for a good purpose.
