WAECO PerfectView VT 100DIG

Wireless video link for highest demands

WAECO PerfectView VT 100DIG wireless video link In heavy-duty professional use there are many situations where hard-wired transmission of rear-view video signals won’t make sense for technical and/or economic reasons. Wireless data transmission is the only alternative in these cases. The problem with commonly used wireless systems is that the connection between the transmitter and receiver modules is not always reliable. This is different with the new digital wireless video link from WAECO:

the PerfectView VT 100DIG system cuts the Gordian knot with a whole bunch of measures. It affords excellent image quality by using a redundant system combined with sophisticated alternating frequency technology that further reduces the risk of interference, state-of-the-art data compression and a generously dimensioned range that is adquate even for extremely long trucks.

The novel wireless video link, WAECO PerfectView VT 100DIG, was designed for use on cars, trucks, construction and agricultural machinery as well as on all kinds of recreational vehicles, including motorhomes and caravans. The benefits of the WAECO solution are especially useful on vehicles with trailers, e.g. when trailers are used with alternating towing vehicles, or when the transmission link is subjected to mechanical loads. Conceived for a voltage supply range between 12 and 30 volts, WAECO’s radio link is able to process the signals from up to four cameras in parallel with a frame rate of 30 images per second. Its chief attraction, however, is the transmission range: up to 200 metres is possible. With a reception delay smaller than 200 milliseconds the system is more than twice as fast as its commonly used counterparts.

Enclosures and connectors are water-proof according to protection class IP67, which qualifies the system for use in custom vehicle construction. Another advantage in this context is the option to supply the connected components from an external voltage source, independently of the vehicle electrics. Also, it is possible to install the system outside the vehicle. System control is via the vehicle signals.

The WAECO radio link is prepared for  various applications. Its receiver is powered via the monitor. The transmitter, in turn, serves as a power source for the camera. The wireless link is compatible with any WAECO PerfectView camera system and will be available from April this year.
