How to update your A/C service station
Keep your ASC service unit up to date
For many years our ASC service units, and their customised variants, have been equipped with a USB connection. Thus, the firmware can simply be updated with a USB stick. To do this, first use our Firmware Overview to check whether the firmware version of your ASC service unit is up-to-date.
Then download the latest firmware for your WAECO ASC service unit and follow the instructions as described in the instruction section below.
In addition, you can purchase from us a database that provides you with an up-to-the-minute overview of the most common car, truck and bus models on the market, as well as the corresponding fill quantities for A/C compressor oils, A/C refrigerants (both for R 134a and R 1234yf), etc. Order number: 4441000174.
How to Update your ASC
- Download the zip file using the link below.
- Unzip it and copy the contained .wuf file to a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
- Insert the USB stick in the USB port. You find the USB port on the upper left of the panel like shown.
- Switch on the device.
- The station will scan the USB stick for a later version. If the software on the USB stick is more up-to-date, the following menu is displayed:
- If the database on the USB stick is more up-to-date, the following menu is displayed, where the current version is displayed in black on the bottom line:
- Press ENTER to update the software or database.
- The station shows the progress of the update:
- After the update, the station sets the default settings:
- The station then restarts and the standby menu appears.
- Remove the USB stick.
- The station is ready for operation.
After running an update on a service unit, the data on the USB stick will be unusable to execute another update on a further service unit.
