Questo metodo genera una sovrapressione con azoto o una pressione negativa sotto vuoto utilizzando la stazione di carica A/C. La rilevazione di fughe tramite scarto di pressione permette principalmente una prima diagnosi in impianti con grosse perdite o completamente vuoti, in quanto consente di appurare se l’impianto presenta fughe, anche se è impossibile localizzarle. È possibile utilizzare questo metodo solo con le stazioni di carica A/C con arresto automatico quando è impossibile generare il vuoto (ad es. tutte le stazioni WAECO ASC ).

Se il processo prosegue senza segnalare errori, si può essere certi che l’impianto non presenti fughe ed è possibile riempirlo con il refrigerante, soddisfando i requisiti sulla protezione ambientale da prodotti chimici (Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance).
